# Step 3: Add a value.

This is a follow-on from: [Adding and linking a second adaptor](/data-flo/applying-data-flo/quick-get-up-to-speed./quick-workflow/step-2-add-and-link-a-second-adaptor..md).

Select <mark style="color:purple;">value</mark> from the **#2 adaptor**.\
Select `Define value` and add a value. (*In this instance we have added 'True'*).<br>

Select <mark style="color:purple;">data</mark> from **#2 adaptor**, and <mark style="color:purple;">RUN STEP</mark> or `Test run` <img src="/files/aM6NqBnhLpej08bIQhQn" alt="" data-size="line">button. \
The `New Column` will have **rows populated** with `True`.
