# Importing a .dataflo file

Users have the option of sharing workflows by downloading them as .dataflo files and sharing via email, shared drive, etc. This is another way to either use a workflow as is or adapt it to fit your needs.

1. In the bottom right corner of your Workflow homepage, click the purple Plus Button and select "Import File". ![](https://1969044508-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FVJMuSDp56RPG6HerD2nz%2Fuploads%2FgZMiQelGRJG3vjLecbg0%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=3ee0ce07-2a85-4660-b66d-8b0a38742338)
2. Locate where the .dataflo file is stored on your computer or drive and press Open.
3. Data-flo brings you to the canvas page. Note, the workflow retains the same name as the original file; however, any changes you make will not impact the original workflow.
